Indian Navy Invites Online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates (who fulfil eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as Agniveer for 2024 batch. The eligibility criteria and broad terms and conditions are laid down herein below. . The distribution of tradewise vacancies for male and female would be decided based on service requirement.

- Candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2003–30 Apr 2007 (Both dates inclusive).
Marital Status
- Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer in IN.
Indian Navy Agniveer MR/SSR Salary
- Agniveers will be paid a package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.

- Selection process of Agniveer 2024 batch will include two stages i.e. Stage I – Shortlisting (Indian Navy Entrance Test – INET), Stage II – ‘PFT, Written Examination and Recruitment Medical Examination

- What is the format of the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)?
- The INET is a computer-based examination consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. The test is bilingual (Hindi & English) and divided into two sections: ‘Science & Mathematics’ and ‘General Awareness’. The duration of the examination is 30 minutes.
- What is the penalty for wrong answers in the INET?
- There is a penalty for wrong answers in the INET. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
- What are the physical standards required for selection?
- For male candidates, the physical fitness standards include a 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak), 15 push-ups, and 15 bent knee sit-ups. For female candidates, the standards include a 1.6 km run in 8 minutes, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, and 10 bent knee sit-ups. The minimum height required is 157 cm.
- What are the educational qualifications required to apply?
- Candidates must have passed 10th/12th/Diploma/ITI/Any Higher Studies with a minimum of 50% marks

- What is the fee for applying to the INET?
- The examination fee is Rs. 550/- plus 18% GST, payable online through net banking, Visa/Master/RuPay credit/debit card, or UPI.
- What are the stages of the selection process?
- The selection process includes two stages: Stage I – Shortlisting based on the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), and Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), written examination, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
- Is there any reservation for permanent body tattoos?
- Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms, from the inside of the elbow to the wrist, and on the reverse side of the palm. Tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and will disqualify the candidate.
- What should a candidate do if they have paid the examination fee but did not receive an admit card?
- In case the fee has been deducted but the admit card has not been generated, candidates should wait for 7 working days for an automatic refund of the money to their account.
- What is the leave entitlement for Agniveers?
- Agniveers are entitled to 30 days of leave per year, in addition to sick leave based on medical advice from a competent medical authority.
